Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To find effective methods of treating upper gastrointestinal bleeding by drugs. METHODS:78 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding were randomly divided into 2 groups. There were 46 cases in treatment group, which were treated with omprazole injection and 32 cases in control group which were treated with famotidine injection. RESULTS:17cases stopped bleeding within 24 hours, and 26 cases within 72 hours in omprazole injection group. The hemostatic rate and total effective rate were 36.96%,93.48% . 4 cases stopped bleeding within 24 hours and 19 cases within 72 hours. In famotidine injection group, the hemostatic rate and total effective rate were 12.5%,71.88%%. CONCLUSION:Omprazole injection was more effective than famotidine in the no-surgical treatment of upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
