Study on Rural Residential Land Consolidation under the Background of Urban and Rural Harmonious Development

The uppermost rural construction land consolidation space exists in rural residential land in the future.The implement of rural residential area consolidation could improve peasants' residential conception,construct the harmonious new countryside,accelerate urbanization process,promote the rural surplus labor transfer,meanwhile,embody the idea of land intensive use,ensure the principles of not increasing construction land and not decreasing total cultivated land,expand the urban development space,and provide the effective platform for urban and rural harmonious development.The rural residential area consolidation in Banan District,Chongqing is introduced from the aspects of the potential of rural residential area consolidation,the demand of urban construction land,the pothook of urban construction land increase and rural residential land decrease and the selection of consolidation models.The economical,social and ecological benefits of rural residential area consolidation are analyzed.
