On the Accessibility to Megalopolis and Urban Economic Growth:PRD and Wuhan Cases

Now in our country come the construction climaxes of megalopolis. In this article I do a comparison research of Wuhan vs. Pearl river Deltamegalopolis based on the data from 1997 to 2003 using spatial econometrics and panel data. It turns out that accessibility to megalopolis plays different rolesin the economic growth in these areas and that a city lies in the Pearl River Delta megalopolis will urge its economic growth, but it is not true in Wuhanmegalopolis. In the end I propose the policy of developing edge city and implement organized development.
