Sorrowful but Heroic ——On the Style of CAO Cao's Poems

Abstract

During period at the end of the Han Dynasty, many excellent poets occurred in China, who, headed by CAO Cao, initiated the modest and vigorous style of poem writing which reflected the then social reality. The style of writing is named as Jian'an strength of character. Poems by CAO Cao reflected the then troublous society, and expressed CAO's sturdy heart, all of which brings forth a strong but esthetical picture.
