Characteristics of Contemporary Scientific Methodology

It has been proved that a lot of achievements in science and technology rest with the innovation of method and the revolution of thinking mode in the history of science and technology.The method and thinking mode people adopted to understand and change the world has undergone a series of revolutions from atomism,holism,induction,deduction,analytical method,synthetical method,intuitionism,falsificationism up to various schools of non-rationalism.It is these innovations and revolutions that have broken those outdated research traditions in the activity of science and technology,driving the progress of science and technology.Today,if we want to continually promote the rapid advance of science and technology,special attention should be paid to the various non-rational methods and postmodernist thoughts that are prevailing at this stage.Among others,we especially need to attach more importance to the intuitional creation,place higher value on science fiction and myth,promote divergent thinking,and popularize science fiction and cyber fiction,in order to enhance people's ability to make invention and creation.
