Discussion on Current Situation and Problems of Land Consolidation in Hebei Province

The problems faced by land use in China are serious at present,which mainly manifested as lacking of per capita land resources,low land use efficiency,serious degradation of cultivated land quality and inadequate reserve cultivated land resources.On the one hand,the existing cultivated land is decreasing,on the other hand,much land is occupied with the development of industrialization and urbanization.The land consolidation is that transforming the cultivated land into standard farmland by engineering measures.Developing land consolidation has an important meaning for increasing the quantity of cultivated land,improving the quality of cultivated land and releasing the contradiction between people and land.Through the investigation on the nature,scale,content and investment intensity in land consolidation of Hebei Province,the problems are analyzed,and the countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
