Research Progress of Land Consolidation and Its Evaluation

There is a substantial decrease in the cultivated land with the rise of industrialization and urbanization.The rational use and protection of arable land has become the basic state policy of our country in land areas.Land consolidation is the necessary way to protect the cultivated land resources in our country.The paper summarizes the land evaluation application in land consolidation from the following areas:land quality evaluation,land potential evaluation,land ecological evaluation,land economic evaluation and land suitability evaluation.Finally,some recommendations were produced focusing on the existing problems.
