Abstract
Objective: To compare the curative efficacies and cost-effectiveness of three therapeutic schemes for lower respiratory tract infection in children. Methods: 178 patients with lower respiratory tract infection in children were divided into group A,group B and group C,and given respectively amoxicillin sodium-clavulanate potassium, mezlocillin and ceftazidime for treatment. The therapeutic effects were monitored and the cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted. Results: The medication costs of group A,B and C were 408.96 yuan,300.24 yuan and 259.20 yuan respectively and the total effective rates of the three groups were 91.53%,91.38% and 90.16%.The cost-effectiveness rates(C/E) of the three groups were 446.80,328.56,287.49 and the incremental cost-effectiveness rates(ΔC/ΔE) of group A and B were 10,931.39,3,363.93.Conclusions: Group C(Ceftazidime treatment group) has the best cost-effectiveness.
