Three basic questions concerning the quality of higher education must be clearly answered for the development of higher education in China in the next ten years:What kind of quality,why improve it,and how to improve it.The quality of higher education is a systematic concept involving students'learning achievements,comprehensive quality,personal development after their graduation and degree of job performance that meets social demands.There has been widespread dissatisfaction over the quality of higher education.To make improvements,importance must be attached to classroom teaching,social practice and cultivation of fine qualities.
