Abstract

Aim To evaluate the significance of combined detection of serum anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody (anti-CCP)and rheumatoid factor (RF)in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods MEIA and IRN techniques were used to detect serum levels of anti-CCP and RF in 70 patients with RA and 130 patients without RA. Results The positive rates of anti CCP,RF and anti-CCP plus RF in 70 RA patients were 77.1%,74.3%,and 91.4% respectively. While the positive rates of anti CCP,RF and anti-CCP plus RA in patients without RA were 3.85 % ,29. 23% and 0 respectively. Through the analysis of statistics ,the combined examination a s well as the single examination great significance statistically (P0. 01). The positive rate of anti-CCP and RF in RA patient was significantly higher than that of non-RA patient s (P0.01). Conclusion Determination of the combination of serum anti CCP and RF is helpful in the diagnosis of patient s with RA.
