Abstract

Abstrcat The effects of operational conditions on the biosorption of Pb2+ by E.coli are studied. The results indicate that when ρ(Pb2+) ranges between 10 mg/L to 100 mg/L,the biosorption capacity is 1.832~21.248 mg/g.The biosorption equilibrium is achieved within 10 minutes. The optimum temperature is 30℃ and the optimum pH value is 6. The relationship between concentrations of Pb2+ and adsorption capacity of E.coli can be described by Freundlich adsorption equation. The K value is 2.3281 and the n value is 1.7668.
