Expression of PTEN in gastric cancer and its clinical significance

Abstract

Objective To study the expression of PTEN in gastric cancer and discuss the relationship between its expression and gatric cancer.Methods PTEN protein was dectected with SP immunohistochemical method.Results The positive rate of expression of PTEN protein in GC and GBD were 100% and 64.4%.The positive expression of PTEN in gastric cancer was significanfly correlated with the histological type,invation depth,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage,and no relationship with the patients' age and the location of tumor.Conclusion The unnomorl expression of PTEN in gastric cancer play a key role to determine biological behavior of gastric carcinoma.
