Clinical observation of premixed insulin aspart in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of insulin aspart 30/70 in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods Choose 116 cases T2DM which are newly diagnosed or poorly controlled with oral antidiabetic drugs.They are randomly divided into (insulin aspart 30/70) trial group 60 cases and (biphasic human insulin 30/70) control group 56 cases.To observe the changes of blood glucose levels in various periods.Results when the blood levels reach the controlling values after intensive treatment. There are marked difference after the three meals 30,60 and 120 minutes (P0.0001~0.020).And the decrease of HbA1c in trial group is obvious (P0.05). The 24 hour insulin amount after reaching good control of blood levels decrease about 20 in trial group than in the control group (P0.05).Conclusion Insulin aspart 30/70 is better than the biphasic human insulin 30/70 in lowering postprandial blood glucose and HbA1c .
