Abstract

This paper adopts methyl ester chemical to dispose the sample of peony seed oil, sunflower seed oil, peanut oil, tea seed oil and corn germ oil, then the fatty acid constituents of peony seed oil were separated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The results of the experiments indicate that there are 13 kinds of fatty acids in peony seed oil, the contents of saturated, unsaturated fatty acid were 7.63% and 91.53%, respectively, and linolenic acid content were as high as 41.38%. At the same time, by measuring the UV absorbance of the five oil samples obtained peony seed oil has a good sunscreen.
