Screening of Grafting Rootstocks for Cucumber

Japanese Qingxiu was screened out as a proper grafting rootstock cultivar for cucumber in summer in 2013.In the paper,we introduced eight cucumber grafting rootstock cultivars,and compared survival rate,growth vigour,fruit characters,disease resistance and yielding ability of their grafted plants.The results showed that,Japanese Qingxiu,Boqiang No.2,Japanese Best Wood,Tiangen No.3 had better comprehensive performance on good grafting affinity,strong growth vigour,good fruit traits and high yield,and were suitable cucumber rootstocks for application and promotion in summer of Guilin.
