Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of abdominal acupuncture plus body acupuncture in treating multiple neuritis. Methods The patients were randomly allocated to two groups. The treatment group was treated with abdominal acupuncture plus body acupuncture, and the control group, with simple body acupuncture. Results Twenty-eight patients(77.8%)were cured, with a total efficacy rate of 97.2%,in the treatment group after 15 days' treatment.Eight patients(25.0%)were cured, with a total efficacy rate of 68.8%,in the control group after 15 days' treatment. The effect was better in the treatment group than in the control group. There was a statistically significant difference in therapeutic effect between the two groups. Conclusion The therapeutic effect of abdominal acupuncture plus body acupuncture is superior to that of simple body acupuncture in treating multiple neuritis.
