Abstract

Statins is inhibitors of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A(HMG-CoA) reductase,which is mainly used for meliorating the lipid pro?le of hyperlipemic and cardiovascular disease and is the most extensively used blood-lipid lowering drug clinically at present.Currently,the side effects of statins have been calling people's attention and increasing studies are carried out on the mechanisms of statin-induced myopathy.In this review we focus on the etiopathogenesis of statin-induced myopathy.
