Abstract

Advertisement is an indivisible part of our life.In order to make advertisement more impressive,solgans,the soul of advertisement,are often written with the use of rhetorical devices which are strongly expressionistic and artistically appealing to consumers.This paper aims at a discussion on the use of common rhetorical devices in French advertising slogans through an analysis and an induction from numerous samples.
