Clinical Observations on Heat Sensitive Moxibustion Treatment for Enuresis

Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of heat sensitive moxibustion on enuresis.Methods Sixty-seven enuresis children were randomly allocated to heat sensitive moxibustion and Chinese herbal medicine groups.Treatment was given once daily,10 days as a course.The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups.Results Of the 34 patients of the heat sensitive moxibustion group,cure occurred in 26,improvement in 8 and ineffectiveness in none.Of the 33 patients of the Chinese herbal medicine group,cure occurred in 15,improvement in 18 and ineffectiveness in none.The cure rate was significantly higher in heat sensitive moxibustion group than in the Chinese herbal medicine group(P0.05).Conclusions Heat sensitive moxibustion has a better therapeutic effect on infantile enuresis.It is painless and highly accepted by the patients.
