Abstract

This paper deals with four new species of Tetrigoidea from Zuojiang area,Guangxi,South China. The type specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology,Shaanxi Normal University. 1 Macromotettix nigrituberculus sp. nov.(Figs.1-2) This new species is similar to Macromotettix longtanensis Zheng et Jiang, but differs in: 1) head not raised above pronotum;2) width of vertex 1.3 times the width of an eye;3) lateral keels parallel in prozona;4) humeral angle rounded;5) without a pair short longitudinal keels between shoulders;6) hind process of pronotum reaching the top of hind femur;7)width of midfemur equal to the width of tegmina;8) hind tibia black.Length of body: ♂ 8mm,♀10mm; length of pronotum: ♂7mm,♀9mm; length of hind femur: ♂5mm,♀5mm.Holotype ♀,Guangxi,Fusui(11.7°N,107.9°E;100-120m),17 Aug. 2004,collected by JIANG Guo-Fang. Paratype 1♂,same data as holotype.Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin nigri and tubercul, referring to the pronotum with black tubercles.2 Tetrix albomaculatus sp. nov.(Figs.3-4)This new species is allied to Tetrix yunnanensis Zheng and Tetrix cliva Zheng et Deng,it differs from both in: 1) in profile, upper margin of pronotum arc;2) lower margin of midfemur undulated;3) with a pair short longitudinal keels between shoulders. It differs from the former in: 1) in profile, frontal ridge not concave before eyes;2) hind wing not reaching the top of hind process;3) width of midfemur equal to the width of tegmina;4) midkeel of upper side of hind femur without fine teeth.♂. Length of body 9mm;length of pronotum 8.5mm;length of hind femur 5.5mm.Holotype ♂,Guangxi,Fusui (22.7°N,107.9°E;100-120m),17 Aug. 2004,collected by JIANG Guo-Fang.Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin albo and maculat, referring to the pronotum with white spots.3 Euparatettix candidistris sp. nov.(Figs.5-6)This new species is similar to Euparatettix prominemargiinis Zheng and Euparatettix tridentatus Zheng. It differs from both in: 1) in profile, vertex and frontal ridge forming an obtuse angle, frontal ridge not concave before lateral ocelli;2) width of midfemur equal to the width of tegmina;3) lower margin of hind femur wave like.♂. Length of body 10mm;length of pronotum 10mm;length of hind femur 5mm.Holotype ♂,Guangxi, Fusui(22.7°N, 107.9°E,100-120m),17 Aug. 2004,collected by JIANG Guo-Fang.Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin candid and stria, referring to the pronotum with white strips. 4 Euparatettix avellanitibis sp. nov.(Figs.7-8)This new species is allied to Euparatettix nigritibis Zheng et Jiang, but differs in: 1) width of frontal ridge sulcus narrower than the width of basal segment of antenna;2) hind process of pronotum reaching the middle of hind tibia;3) lower outside of hind femur not black;4) hind tibia brown.♂. Length of body 5.5-6.5mm;length of pronotum 9-10mm;length of hind femur 5.0- 5.5mm.Holotype ♂,Guangxi, Chongzuo,(22.3°N,107.4°E;130m),21 Aug. 2004,collected by JIANG Guo-Fang. Paratype 1♂,same data as holotype.Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin avellan and tibis, referring to the hind tibia brown.
