Abstract
A new catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace CuⅡwas established. The method was based on catalytic effect of Cu?on the oxidation of methyl blue by hydrogen peroxide in the medium of 0.1 mol/L H_2SO_4.The optimum conditions of the decoloring reaction were studied. The maximum absorption wavelength of this system is located at 560 nm.The linear range for the determination of copper is 0-0.08 mg/L,and the detection limit is 1.37×10~(-7) g/L.The method has been applied to the determination of trace copper in the tap water samples with satisfactory results.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
