Regional Economic Space Remodeling of the Yangtze River Economic Belt

The Yangtze River Economic Belt is an important national development zone in the new era.First,the authors review researches on the theory and trajectory of the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt over the past thirty years and argue that the projected east-west gradient transfer has not materialized.Second,the authors sum up three spatial logics relevant to the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,namely coastal to basin economy,from Flying Geese to parallel regionalization and from the core-periphery division to the Weber structure.Built on such theories,the authors point out that regional agglomerative economy is evident,independent innovation has become an important driving force for industrial development,regional urban agglomeration has appeared,and the potential node cities have played important roles in the urban system.In the end,it is suggested that the new spatial structure of the Yangtze River Economic Belt can be described as one belt,two corridors,three districts and four groups,and building the transportation corridor and other regional infrastructure can drive the spatial economy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
