Abstract

Objective:To analyze the expression level of tumor suppressor gene PTEN in human colorectal cancer tissues and the relationship with the biological behavior. Methods:Using immunohistochemistry SP to detect 60 cases of colorectal cancer,60 cases of adjacent normal mucosa for PTEN protein expression. Results:For colorectal cancer the PTEN positive rate was 53.3%(32/60),significantly lower than that in the novmal tissues 100%(60/60).Well-differentiated adenocarcinoma PTEN protein expression with the highest rate of 73.3%(22/30) was significantly higher than the poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma 27.3%(6/22).PFEN protein expression was related with lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion:PTEN gene is closely related to the development of colorectal cancer may be a sign of biological behavior and reference for colorectal cancer gene therapy.
