The clinical effect of Fluoride varnish in preventing caries of primary teeth

Objective To investigate the fluoride varnish in preventing caries of primary teeth clinical effect.Methods Two large kindergarten in 600 children were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,the observation group used fluoride coatings on dental protection,control group were brushing in the morning and evening,mouthwash after meals and other conventional oral care;used once every six months,the experimental period of 2 years.Before and after the experiment on two groups of children dental caries were inspected,the accurate statistics of the two inspection of the prevalence of caries,caries surface and new caries surface.Results Before the experiment of two groups of children with caries rate and caries surface data did not differ significantly,after the experiment group was observed in the rate of caries and caries surface data are significantly lower than the control group,the difference between the two groups(P 0.05) with statistical significance.Conclusion The fluoride varnish on prevention of caries of primary teeth has obvious clinical effect.
