“New Deal”in Late Qing Dynasty and resorting to modern times of Chinese agriculture

Accompanied by the development of “New Deal”in the Late Qing Dynasty and renewal of men's industrial ideas,the agricultural industrial administrations of the central and local authorities were getting specialized day by day;meanwhile,among the people regarding improvement of agriculture as their own duty the peasants' unions were widely established.Both of them made joint efforts:promoting education of agronomy;developing knowledge agriculture,establishing farming test grounds;spreading agricul tural science and technology;rewarding and promoting inventions and creations;proposing establishment of land-reclamation companies.Under the current political situation of difficulties at home and abroad it was not able to basically the agricultural backwardness of China,but it conformed to the trend of the times,it played a vanguard role in cutting paths for resorting to modern times of agriculture.
