Abstract
The wet skid resistance of carbon black or silica reinforced SSBR tread compound was investigated,and the influence factors on wet skid resistance were analyzed.The results showed that the wet skid resistance of silica reinforced SSBR tread compound was better than that of carbon black reinforced SSBR tread compound in a certain range of temperature and speed;it was imperfect to describe wet skid resistance of tread compound just using the dynamic viscoelastic properties,because it was also influenced by temperature,speed and hardness of compound.The wet skid resistance was decided by lubrication and dynamic viscoelastic properties.
