Abstract
Objective:To study the diagnostic value of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCE MRI) of renal cell carcinoma (RCC).Methods:Pre-,post- dynamic enhanced and delayed MRI scans were performed in 21 cases with RCC.The curve of time-contrast enhancement ratio was obtained. To analyze the dynamic enhanced characteristics of RCC shown in DCE MRI,different patterns could be revealed accordingly. Results:The curve of time-contrast enhancement ratio varied according to the vascular supply of RCC.Marked early enhancement was shown in hypervascular RCC,the curve of time-contrast ratio ascended gradually without an obvious peak. For the hypovascular RCC,mild enhancement was demonstrated, the curve of time-contrast enhancement ratio ascended slowly and became stable 60s after contrast agent adminstration. Conclusion:By the quantitative analysis of DCE MRI,hemodynamic information of the tumors could be provided, which is useful in the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma.
