Analysis on condom use of men who have sex with men in small and medium city

Objective To get more information about the condom use and contributing factors of men who have sex with men(MSM)in small and medium sized city.Methods Convenience sampling and snowball sampling had been sued to select respondents,and `questionnaire of psychology and behavior of men who have sex with men' has been used during the research.Results Of 147 respondents,the rate of persisting in condom using was below 8%,while rate of never using condoms in above 60%.There was significant difference between free and fee-related sexual partners about the rate of condom using.Level of AIDS knowledge about AIDS prevention and consciousness of HIV infection had a significant influence on condom using:some factors such as age,sex,educational background,marital status,psychological troubles and knowledge about HIV transmission were not associated with condom using;Dislike using himself was the main factor influenceing condom using,and refusing of sexual partners comes next.Conclusion Intervention on AIDS among MSM in small and medium sized city is needed urgently.
