Abstract
Crude polysaccharide(PPH) and purified polysaccharides(PPH-1and PPH-2) were obtained from pollens of hawthorn fruit by a series of steps of extraction, separation and purification. The antioxidant activities were studied and compared with Vc and BHT,including the experiment of DPPH radial, inhibiting the formation of hydroxyl radical and reducing power, scavenging superoxide anion radical. The experimental results show: PPH,PPH-1 and PPH-2 have obvious scavenging effective to DPPH radial and inhibiting the formation of hydroxyl radical, which are equal to Vc.Reducing power and scavenging effective to superoxide anion radical are lower than Vc.
