Abstract

Objective To evaluate the change of serum tetramine concentration and clinical effect of Na-DMPS in treatment of acute tet- ramine intoxication. Methods 30 cases of acute tetramine intoxication received routine treatment were regard as the control group, and 24 cases treating in the recent one year were given routine treatment plus Na-DMPS as abserved group. The change of tetramine concentration and relief of intensify of convulsion were observed. Results The results between the two groups in frequency and duration of convalsions showed remarkable differences(P0.05).Conclusion Treatment of acute tetramine intoxication with Na-DMPS had a remarkable effect, it might decrease the concentration of serum tetramine, shorten convulsion time, decreased convulsion intensify and prolong convulsion inter- val. Therefore it could relieve organic functional injury, shorten treating time and increase the curative rate.
