Abstract

Effects of the ponds' algae species and quantities were studied through adding efficient microbial ecological agents into the ponds. The results showed that the efficient microbial ecological agents had marked inhibitory effect to the propagation of Cyanobacteria which is the dominant algae in the fishpond and obvious promotion to the propagation of Chloroophyta and Bacillariophyta. The Chlorococcus. sp, Cyclotalia sp, Scenedesmus sp, Nietzsche sp etc became the dominant algae while the water color was in good condition such as light green, brown. The efficient microbial ecological agents had inhibitory effect to the euglena of the flagellate group and no obvious effect to the Cryptophyta. Microcystis. sp,Anabaena. sp,Oscillatoria. sp of Cyanophyta etc were dominant algae. Besides, the ShannonWiener index and the Pielou evenness index of algae in the control pond were lower than those in experimental pond. Therefore, efficient microbial ecological agents maintained algal biodiversity in the ponds by effectively restricting the growth of Cyanophyta. It also increased the algal types to be digested and absorbed by fish while played a positive role in controlling the algal structure of fish pond.
