Abstract
Objective To study the correlation between androgen and pregnancy-induced hypertension(PIH).Method Concentration of serum total testerone (T) in 102 cases of pregnant women were determined by radioimmunoassay. The pregnant women included 30 normal pregnancies,28 cases mild PIH patients,25 cases moderate PIH patients and 19 cases serious PIH patients. Results The concentration of serum T in moderate or serious PIH patients was higher than normal pregnancies ( P 0.01).The fetus sex distribution was not significantly different between the PIH patients and the normal pregnancies ( P 0.05).Conclusion The rise of T in the PIH patients may be correlated with the cause of their PIH.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
