The Study of Relationships between Social Support,Personality and the Mental Health on College Students

Abstract

598 college students joined the survey to study the relationships between social support,personality and mental health.The results show that:1)students in the urban on the SCL-90 score was significantly lower than rural students,the objective of social support was significantly higher than that of rural students,the freshman receive more on objective support than other grades,and the difference notable;2)there was a significant correlation between social support,personality and mental health;3)personality play the role as a external factors to life events-mental health,personality was not found to be a buffer between social support and mental health.
