Abstract
A strain that can grow with petroleum hydrocarbon as sole source of carbon and energy, which is SY-02,was isolated from petroleum-contaminated soils in Shengli Oil Field. Petroleum-hydrocarbon degradation was 75% after the strain was growing on inorganic salt medium with 1% (W/V)of diesel at 30℃ for 7d. The strain SY-02 which was identified as Pseudomonas chlororaphis could grow on n-hexadecane,cyclohexane,benzene,naphthalene and phenanthrene as sole source of carbon. Results also showed n-hexadecane and aromatic hydrocarbon could be degraded markedly while cyclohexane degraded not obviously.
