CURATIVE EFFECT OF TREATMENT FOR SEVERE HEPATITIS WITH ARTIFICIAL LIVER

[Objective]To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Artificial Liver Support System in the treatment of patients with severe hepatitis.[Methods] A total of 34 patients with severe hepatitis at early, middle and late stages received treatment of Artificial Liver Support System.Pre-and post-therapy liver function, renal function, PTA, PT, electrolyte and blood routine test were analyzed, and symptoms of all patients were observed closely.[Results] After the treatment of Artificial Liver Support System, liver function, PTA, PT and symptoms and of patients improved, there were not conspicuous effect on renal function, electrolyte and blood routine test; the total effective rate reached 76.5%, and the side effects were mild; the effective rates of patients with subacute severe hepatitis at early, middle and late stages were 100%, 88% and 0% respectively.Chronic severe hepatitis was 42%.[Conclusion] The Artificial Liver Support System is an effective means for the treatment of severe hepatitis, with mild side effects, especially at early and middle stages.
