Abstract
[Objective] An investigation was carried out for Shandong rural elderly people who aged 60 years old and above in order to explore the influencing factors of the activities of daily life(ADL).[Methods] Used stratified sampling and random sampling to select 600 rural elderly people from Shandong province.They were face to face surveyed by ADL scale and questionnaire to evaluate the status of the elders' ADL and its influencing factors.[Results] The probability of losing ADL of rural elderly people was 8.8%.Age,chronic disease,health status and diet could influence the rural elders' ADL.[Conclusion] Those who are elder or suffer from chronic disease easily have lower ADL.Healthy body and balance diet are beneficial to ADL.
