A new Pyrus pyrifolia cultivar 'Huagao' with high sugar.

‘Hua gao’is a bud variation cultivar from‘Xingao’.The ripening date of pome is in the third ten days of August in Changsha area.The fruit is oblate with snuff color pericarp.The average weight of single fruit is 298.2 g,soluble solids content is 13.0%–14.1%,titratable acid content is 0.03%– 0.10%,and vitamin C content is 52.5–65.0 μg · g-1.The multiple spots regional trials and tests showed that the cultivar has excellent characteristics such as high sugar,high yield,early bearing and good resistance for storage.
