Abstract
S>Translated from Zh. Prikl, Khim.; 46: No. 6, 1301-1305(Jun Extractive separation of Zr and Hf thiocyanates is generally effected from hydrochloric or sulfuric acid solutions. The distribution and separation coefficients depend to a considerable extent on the composition of the aqueous phase. In extraction from hydrochloric acid solutions into NOPC, metal extraction is considerable but the separation coefficient is very low; and use of sulfuric acid solutions leads to a sharp decrease of extractability, but with more effective separation. The causes of the influence of various factors on separation of Zr and Hf complexes are discussed. (auth)
