Locking Middle Finger in an Old Patient A Case Report.

Abstract

A case of metacarpo-phalangeal joint locking of the middle finger in an 81-year-old woman is reported.Middle finger joint involvement in an elderly patient has been very rarely reported in Japanese papers compared with foreign papers.On ulnar side oblique radiograph of her middle finger, hook-shaped osteophyte was seen. Full movement of the metacarpo-phalangeal joint was restored after excision of the osteophyte on the metacarpal head.
