Abstract
Three ring-finger pollicizations were performed by a flap technique, allowing direct visualization as the digit was moved across the palm. Utilization of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the transferred digit to replace the lost thumb metacarpophalangeal joint is recommended and discussed. A plastic technique to shorten the transferred digit with shift of the nail bed and matrix on a volar pedicle is also described.
