Abstract

Summary The rediscovery of Tetramicra urbaniana Cogniaux from Andros, Bahama Islands, is reported. The taxonomic history of this species is discussed. In the absence of a holotype, a lectotype is designated. The first comprehensive English description together with the first illustrations of T. urbaniana are included.
