Abstract

This chapter describes the unique role that the pesticide industry plays in developing, supporting, and implementing integrated pest management (IPM) programmes, illustrating the integration of IPM considerations into the process of development of new products, formulation of IPM strategies based on data on the characteristics of new products, and education of farmers on IPM through web-based resources and distance learning programmes.
