Abstract
A single-phase metal welding arc circuit was built in this paper.The transient arc lasted too short to measurement.According to the arc optical characteristics,the photodiode-based oscilloscope external trigger circuit was designed.It met the requirements through the tests.Three different materials were used in welding arc test,the voltage and current waveforms were recorded by oscilloscope and the influence of material difference on the arc was analyzed.
