Abstract
In this paper, a power quality analysis method based on hybrid simulation of electro-mechanical transient and electro-magnetic transient is proposed. Using this method, the pollution source and the power grid around it are analyzed using electro-magnetic algorithm, which can simulate the generation of power quality problems and the effect of control measures in detail; the external power grid is analyzed using electro-mechanical algorithm, which can simulation the spread process of phenomena. Compared with tranditional analysis methods, the proposed method retains all the advantages of electro-magnetic transient simulation, and also can take the interaction between power quality problems and power grid into consideration. The principle of the hybrid simulation is presented in the paper, and the applicability of this method to the analysis of power quality problems is discussed. Based on ADPSS hybrid simulation program, the modelling of electrified railway and STATCOM are presented, and two cases are illustrated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
