[Influence of detailed starting age structure of the population on the result of the projection].

The author examines the effects of the initial age structure and the length of the projection stage on the results of population projections for the Czech Socialist Republic. Projections for a group of women by single years of age and one-year stages are compared with projections by five-year age groups and five-year stages. Both sets of projections are calculated using the same age-specific fertility rates and death rates and ignoring migration. (summary in ENG, RUS)
