Abstract
In order to solve the problem of analyzing network performance of SCADA system communication of power grid in effective and practical way, this paper proposes a method based on OPNET Modeler, in which communication object models of SCADA system and variety simulation scenes are built properly. According to the actual situation of SCADA system communication, the paper analyzes the modeling demand of communication network, services information flow, communication protocol and studies the modeling method of the system. The networks for simulation were established and the networks performance was analyzed under variety simulation scenes. The paper provides an effective tool and useful material for accident drills, equipment selection and network planning of SCADA system communication.
