Abstract

Among the different insecticides evaluated against Spodoptera litura in groundnut, thiodicarb @ 1 g L−1 was significantly found to be effective in protecting leaf damage, larval reduction and recorded highest pod, haulm yields. This was followed by novaluron @ 1ml L−1, flubendiamide @ 0.2 ml L−1, emamectin benzoate @ 0.2 g L−1 and spinosad @ 0.3 ml L−1 compared to other treatments cypermethrin @ 1.5 ml L−1, quinalphos @ 2.0 ml L−1, chlorpyriphos @ 2.5 ml L−1, indoxacarb @ 1.0 ml L−1, lambda cyhalothrin @ 1.0 ml L−1 and rynaxypyr @ 0.3 ml L−1, respectively.
