Abstract
Objective: To investigate TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-6, VEGF and HGF in patients with diabeticne phrosis. Methods: Serum TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-6, VEGF and HGF in 20 patients with diabetic nephrosis and 20 controls were measured by ELISA. Results: TNF-α, IL-6, VEGF and HGF were significantly higher in patients with diabetic nephrosis than that in controls (P0.01), but IFN-γ were significantly lower in the patients(P0.01). Conclusion: These cytokines participated in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephrosis. Monitoring the changes of their serum levels was helpful for the management of the disease.
