Assertive outreach is used to engage clients to access affordable, sustainable and long-term housing. The key themes of the HOW position are engagement, collaboration and a strong, essential focus on housing. HomeGround has been piloting HOW in the Inner South since December 2005 after establishing similar positions servicing the CBD area and the City of Yarra. The pilot has managed to achieve significant housing outcomes in a short period of time (see chart below).
