Abstract
Six insecticides were tested at 3 levels as foliar sprays on 40 and 60 day-old cow-pea crop (fodder var. IGFRI-450). Endosulfan 0.1% was the most effective and signi-ficantly superior over other treatments in reducing foliage and flower damage. Fodder and grain yield in endosulfan treated plots was 218.2 and 8.5 q/ha, respectively. It was followed by thiometon 0.07%, quinalphos 0.1%, dimethoate 0.07%, dichlorvos 0.15% and phosalone 0.09% in order of their performance. Almost all the treatments were significantly superior to control.
